Castle at Dolphin Bay: Book 1
Ok. I'm now officially a new Marion Lennox fan! I read book 3 in this series, His Miracle Bride, last December and then immediately reserved the first two books which I have just finished. She has a delightful, sweet touch with characters that really grab you. There are tough situations the characters deal with too, but even in book 3 you fall totally in love with all the quirky HAPPY characters at Dolphin Bay and reading them all is a must, though not necessary for understanding or enjoying any one book.
This is the book that started it all. Dr. Kristy has drug her very pregnant, newly widowed sister, Susie, to Australia to find her sister's husband's Uncle Angus, who was the only relative he had ever spoken of fondly. Susie is in the long physical process of recovering from the car accident that killed Roy and has no will to live without him. This trip is Kristy's last ditch effort to bring her twin back to life. Once there, they meet Jake, the country doctor with the huge heart for his patients, who is trying to help Uncle Angus find the will to live as well. This book is a wonderful, warm accounting of how they all work together to save each other with love being the guiding emotion. Wonderful wonderful book with fabulous characters that you wish were your neighbors.
