FBI agent Luke is looking for his son who was illegally adopted while Luke was in Iraq when Luke's wife died of childbirth complications. When he finds Elaina and Christopher, she doesn't know it was illegal (though she has suspicions because of her criminal ex) and she has problems of her own, she had to leave her home because suspicious-looking characters were after her and they turn up again just after Luke arrives. What do they want? Who can she trust after her house is searched? Will she have to give up the son she loves? Will Luke and Elaina even survive long enough to fight a custody battle?
Fast-paced, nice intrigue with good suspense and a hot romance.

Interesting. This book felt
Interesting. This book felt very contrived to me which would have been easier to forgive if she had included some humor. But from what I can see, humor isn't really allowed in this line.

Intrigues can have some humour
typically Julie Miller's have it, but there seems to be more scope for humour in SRS than in HI
