Jacob aka Mako is on leave after his father dies to sort out the family
motel and his single mom teenage sister when a woman stumbles into
reception. D (Dee) Smith has a hundred dollars, an Epî pen and not the
slightest idea who she is or why she's there. Jacob's protector mode
goes into overdrive and while she's trying to get her memory back they
fall in love. But is she already married? Nice glimpses of Bronco,
Athena, Spike and Crusty, and another yummy WW story. I loved how Mako
was patient with both Dee and his sister, despite his protective
tendencies. I loved how he put the new clothes in the Found bag
so that her sensibilities wouldn't be offended. I loved everything
about this book except that I was too tired and too preoccupied with
the birthday boy to do it justice. Lovely ending. When's the next one?
