Argeneau Vampires: Book 7

This is the first of three vampire books that Lindsay is publishing over the next three months... wooo hoooo.. a triple play!  What a nice change from all those series where we wait up to a year for the next installment!

And this one is really quite funny.  Elvi Black has been a vampire for 5 years now.  And the whole town knows it.  In fact, they hold blood drives for her!  Elvi, a 60-something widow, was on vacation with her friend when she became.. an accidental vampire!  Now her friends have advertised for a vampire blind date for Elvi... and at least 5 suitors meeting the qualifications appear to meet her.  One is Victor Argeneau, only he is really on council duty and is investigating Elvi who appears to be breaking all the vampire rules.

Since Elvi and the rest of her town don't know any vampires, all the information she has gathered about how to live has been from the Dracula movie...the process of both Elvi and Victor discovering the truth about her and what it means to be a vampire involve some mad-cap situations.  The other colorful vampire "suitors" add to the mix while love and lifemates seem to be everywhere!

HI

should you read the earlier ones first? I have Single White Vampire, Bite Me if You Can, and this book.... I hate reading them out of order and usually the earlier ones fill in the background. Just curious.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

Reading out of order

I have read these in order, but have read them so far apart that I have forgotten much of what happened in the others... it helped to know who some of the characters were, but I don't think it is essential.. now this latest set of three I think should be read in order cause I think they build up to Marguerite Argeneau.. probably more so the second of the three than this first one.. but Marguerite does go missing in one of the earlier books.. not sure which one.

So, yes, you probably get more color reading them in order, but I think you can enjoy the story alone too.
