#142 Claiming His Christmas Bride by Carole Mortimer (M&B By Request)

Molly is horrified when after her nephew's christening, his godfather Gideon decides to stay for Christmas, because Gideon thinks she had an affair with his brother, despite the fact that Gideon's sister-in-law is Molly's best friend. By Christmas she realises she's in love with him but he's hiding things from her and things are worse than ever. Will they ever sort out their misunderstandings?
This is the book that gave me the lightbulb moment – it's the lack of hero pov that makes this so annoying. The overnight switch from arrogance and disapproval to love is too sudden without the pov to pave the way, too much a miraculous solution. I stil don't like them but at least now I know what's bugging me
