Sophie is a Trust Fund Babe but her father cuts off the trust fund and the allowance and so rather than allowing herself to be manipulated into going home, she decides to get a job. The temp agency lady is less than impressed but finds her a job walking dogs for Gideon, a surgeon suffering from malaria. Then Sophie's flat is sold from under her and Gideon offers her his spare room, while Sophie becomes an eveningtime cleaner for a florists and waitresses at lunchtimes so she'll still have time for dogwalking and keeping an eye on Gideon. Will Gideon realise she's the perfect wife, even if she can't cook or type?
A lot of things were happening in such a short book. I loved Sophie's ditzy blonde act, the way she earned the respect of the temping agency lady, how she refused to give in to her father because she didn't want to be his crutch and the way everything worked out well in the end. Charming heartwarming story.

RE; A SURPRISE CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL by Liz Fielding
...Sounds like a good one to me, Sadhbh! I think it would make a good cinema, too.
