#149 Nine-Month Protector by Julie Miller (HI #1015)

Sarah's witnessed a murder and she discovers three months later that
she's pregnant, but by whom? Teddy Wolfe, killed just after the one
night stand set up by her father as "payment" to Teddy for his gambling
debts? Or yummy Cooper Bellamy, her brother's best friend and
colleague, but when she announces the news he tells her it can't be
his. Meanwhile the murderer is determined to make Sarah and her family
pay, so Coop becomes her bodyguard, but Teddy's father kidnaps her when
her father lets it out that she's having Teddy's baby. Will she and
Cooper survive long enough to love each other?
I loved how strong Sarah was, with all the nasty things life was
throwing at her. I loved the way Julie set everything up and then
solved the problems so seemingly effortlessly but without me feeling it
was contrived. ConciselyWink I loved everything about itSmile

Julie Miller

is a favorite of mine. If I see she has written something I buy it. Her Taylor clan from Kansas City was terrific.

You Said the Magic Words...

Hi Sadhbh:

When you wrote " loved the way Julie set everything up and then solved the problems so seemingly effortlessly but without me feeling it was contrived,"  I was sold on this book. I've read a Julie Miller Mini and Blaze and I wanted to try her in another line. I'll get this book.  Thanks,

Vince

I think this may be my favorite by Julie. I loved this book. Love Cooper. Yummy is right. This is a keeper.

Aw, shucks

Thanks, Sadhbh (and everyone!)--I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed the book.  Coop was one of my all-time favorite heroes to write.  I think I struck a chord with a lot of readers with him--I've received a lot of mail and email on that book.

And what a lovely compliment (I may quote you to my editor!) about how I wrapped things up.  I'm flattered.  Cool

Thank you,

Julie Miller
