Congratulations, everyone!!
I just logged on to eHarlequin and saw that we've reached the 15,000 book mark with our reading and reviews toward our 100,000 goal. That's terrific!
I've started a personal campaign to talk up the challenge on my website and other blogs I'm invited to--as well as with my local writing group and online groups. Literacy is such a meaningful cause to me. As a teacher I work with many struggling readers, and as the mother of a challenged reader (who's thriving now, thanks to some talented teachers, literacy programs, and a dedicated family), supporting literacy and giving people the opportunity and skills to read is vitally important. Literacy is practically a necessity in today's world--and have good reading skills certainly improves the quality of life.
And how much fun is it to read ourselves in order to make a difference? Totally cool idea!
I just want to encourage everyone to pass the word to their friends and families and other readers they know. Read and post. We can have fun and do something important all in one fell swoop!
Thank you to everyone who's already taking part.
Let's keep going strong!

Hi Julie,
I was wondering if you were attending RWA this year? Can you shoot me an email, I wanted to chat about the challenge and some initiatives to spread the news.
