Alain swerves to avoid a dog during a storm and crashes into a tree. Vet Kayla saves him and tries to teach him how to slow down and enjoy life and the workaholic lawyer falls in love with the altruistic pet-saver. But have they enough in common to last longer than a one-night-stand? How does Kayla react when Alain proposes? Her insistence on bringing him a pet without prior warning had my annoyance antennae quivering, but I enjoyed it, though their reactions towards the end seemed a bit contrived. This series got me to wondering where encouraging children's innate talent stops and crosses the line to pushing them too hard and too fast.
