First book in Cedar Cove series introduces lots of characters but concentrates on Olivia, divorced mom of 4, 1 of which died years earlier in an accident. We see her relationship with her ex, her budding romance with Jack, newspaper editor, her best friend Grace, mom Charlotte, daughter Justine, and the people going through her courtroom. One minor detail, her new granddaughter changed names between this book and the next (Isabela in this book, Isadora in book 2). Well set up, I enjoyed the book but don't think I'd recommend nonstop reading of this series.
