#172 A Cowboy Under Her Tree by Allison Leigh (SSE #1869)

Melanie needs Russ' help so she proposes a deal, he helps her out for six month, pretending to be married for her family's sake and teaching her how to run her dude ranch, and he can have half of the ranch she's bought and that he'd wanted to buy. But Russ won't agree to a pretend marriage, so they fly off to Vegas. Then he helps her out on the ranch, pushing her hard in the hope she'll give up, but she's made of sterner stuff and has something to prove to her family, and he ends up respecting the city gal who's nothing like his ex-wife, but can they turn their temporary marriage into a permanent one?
I loved how supportive she was helping him to recontact his son, I loved how supportive he was when her brother dropped in and Russ' reaction to her bruises. I liked the way Steph and Grant's marriage ended the series, though I wouldn't mind seeing the twins' stories in a while.

I liked this one, too and think there will probably be more in the future....

Another possible Christmas

Another possible Christmas story?

Okay, your comments about

Okay, your comments about this series are inspiring me to pick it back up.  I stopped at the ex and the brother story as that is one of my pet peeves.

Cady

but it wasn't. The girl was a friend, she never knew he felt THAT
way about her, and he just backed off, the brother only realised it
after he'd married her and then his brother left anyway. They gave
their marriage a decent try but were already divorced long before the
brother came back

Nothing eeuw about it - go on read them

Hi Kate, Hi FF

I have this one

in my TBR pile.  Spring Break is next week....I predict a LOT of reading in my future!  I also read the one about the brother and the ex and enjoyed it...and I think I got out of order on some of them, but it won't matter, I will enjoy them anyway.

Hugs,

Chy
