#18: Chill Out, Josey! Susan May Warren, Steeple Hill Cafe 2007

Score: 3 1/2

I always enjoy Susan May Warren's books. This was a good, solid inspirational Chick Lit story.  Sequel to Everything's Coming Up Josey. Now Josey and Chase are finally married and she is discovering that marriage is more than romance and love. Merging two lives has it's challenges..like what TV channel to watch, cooking challenges..and, oh yes, husbands who come home and announce they are moving to Russia for a new job!  What would a Proverbs 31 wife do?

It's not really a spoiler to tell you that Josie's first pregnancy plays a large role in their adventures during the year since there is a baby bottle on the front cover.  While a slow start, Josey is a very lovable character as she shares (first person) her thoughts and challenges of dealing with a new marriage, pregnancy and living in a foreign country all at once.  Some of the characters from her first story return and some new great characters are introduced.  Through it all, Josey struggles to learn the spiritual lessons that God has for her.  Very satisfying conclusion too.  Gotta love that.
