This book is one of the Five-Alarm Babies series. I have a couple of the others, but I think I missed some along the way. I'll have to go looking for them, as Delores Fossen did an excellent job of this subject.
Logan had been sent home to recover from being shot while on a covert rescue mission. All he wanted was to heal in peace, but instead found a beautiful redhead on his doorstep. Well now, what's wrong with that?
Nothing, except she was terrified, because someone was trying to kill her and kidnap her (his) baby boy. What?
Who would -- or could -- go to such lengths as to get someone else inseminated with the sperm of someone other than the person they had chosen, and then wait until the baby was born, try to kill the mother and kidnap the baby? Logan knew. He guessed right away who it was. Then all he had to do was keep Mia and the baby safe until he could prove it. No small feat when you're supposed to be recovering from a gunshot wound.
But is that what really happened? There are so many more intriguing twists and turns in this story. An excellent read, with a surprising end.

Author?
Did the same author write all of these. This one sounds good. It has been a long time since I read any Intrigues. I may have some older ones in the TBR pile, buried somewhere!!!
Glad to see you here posting, DonnaH.
Take care, happy reading,

I think so
I think they're all from the same author, at least the three I've read are.
Thanks, Donna, it's good to be here, too.
Thanks, Sadhbh. I had missed the Christmas Clue and the Horseman's Son. I'll have to see if I can still get them somewhere.

It's on it's way
Horseman's Son is on it's way to me right now. Hopefully it will arrive some time next week.
I don't know what it is, but Canada Post seems to be getting slower and slower all the time. It used to take a week for my books to come. Now it's almost three weeks. And it seems to take forever before my payments come out of my bank account. I wish there was some way we could do online interac, like with any store.
Oh well, I guess we can be thankful they'll still accept cheques -- a lot of places won't.
