Rosalyn comes to see Joc because he wants her land and she's not selling. The instant attraction is so strong they decide to have an affair to get it out of the way, but a condom bursts and Rosalyn gets pregnant and Joc is determined to marry her. Then his half-sister schemes to throw Rosalyn off her land. Will Joc be willing/able to save Rosalyn's ranch for her?
I enjoyed the romance – I didn't like the plot with the half-sister, felt it was excessively complicated and negative, but luckily enough it was just a bump on the road at the end of the book.
