#199 A Blazing Little Christmas by Joanne Rock, Kathleen O'Reilly, Jacquie D'Alessandro (Blaze #363)

Three stories set in a romantic getaway inn. JD's story is about an engaged couple trying to get themselves back on track, away from their families intent on transforming the wedding into a nightmare, who get stranded when their feuding families follow them to their hideaway. JR's is about Jared, determined to make amends for the way he left Heather without saying goodbye years earlier to go overseas, while Heather only wants a revenge affair. KOR's story is about Rebecca, who receives a holiday getaway trip from "Santa", but hooks up with the wrong man.
This had a couple of matchmaking innkeepers – normally this should have had all my hackles raised, but funnily enough it didn't set off my matchmaking alarm. I enjoyed the stories – JD's brought back memories of my own wedding preparations – the families were great but the paperwork was enough to make us want to call the whole thing off.

Enjoyed this book!

All the authors did a great job of blending their stories so that the innkeepers were fun to watch out for, to see what they would say or do!

I read this a few months

I read this a few months back and liked this one.  But pray tell--what's your matchmaking alarm?  Do you have a thing about matchmakers?

oh boy do I have a thing about matchmakers

Yell

but we won't get me started on that Smile

Matchmaking!

I kind of like matchmaking stories but I think in real life it doesn't usually work!  It is more of a "they have got to be kidding!" situation!!! Laughing

This was fun to read but I usually like Christmas stories even though anthologies for the holidays tend to be very light!  But that is okay, cause sometimes there is to much going on & you need something that doesn't take a lot of brain power to follow!!! Smile

Take care, happy reading,

Well...I asked because my

Well...I asked because my April Blaze has a matchmaker theme...in a round about way.  So does the one I'm plotting now.  I'd really hate to lose Sadhbh so early in my writing career.  LOL!

But seriousy!  Why won't you tell??  The curiosity is killing me!

boring for those who read all my blogs and know about my hot spots

I think matchmaking/interfering needs a deft touch. I know that in real
life some people spend their lives interfering in their friends'
/families' lives but my friends and family don't and so I find it
difficult to understand a hero/heroine who claims not to like it but
doesn't tell their friends/families where to get off

One recent book which really bugged me was My Montana Home by Ellen
James (read early this month) if you want to see specifics. but I'm
aware it's MY hotspot and it all depends on how it's handled. One other
one that really hit that hotspot was Roz Denny Fox's The Secret Wedding
Dress (which I read in July 2006 Undecided, so as you can see it REALLY made an impression on me)

But just to say it may be a hotspot but it doesn't stop me rereading
the author (unless of course the matchmaking/interfering is her
signature tune and I realise that Frown)

Besides I've loved everything I've read by Lori Borrill so far so I
think her autobuy status is safe for now, she'll probably make such a
good job of it she'll turn my bad hotspot into a good one Smile

Don't worry about it, you know me - always honest in my blogs Laughing

(that'll really get you worrying Wink Innocent)

Hugs

Sadhbh

Phew!

Nope, my books have a matchmaker theme, but not in that way.  I'm safe!  Though I know you wouldn't dump me that easily, I'd like to know I'm not making things hard for you!  LOL!
