Accidentally Yours by Susan Mallery is hilarious. And yet it's not.
Kerri was trying desperately to get in the face of a certain rich person. She wanted him to fund the research for a cure for the disease her little boy was dying of.
Her antics while attempting to get his attention were nothing short of ridiculous, and I laughed out loud more than once. But then when Susan would describe the agony the little boy was going through, I was in tears.
Kerri had to live what most of us only have nightmares about. She was one gutsy lady, willing to do whatever was necessary to give her son a fighting chance at life. How she met and convinced Nathan to donate the required $$ to research was nothing short of brilliant.
But was that the end of it? What other things did Nathan have going on in his life?
Another wonderful story from Susan Mallery! It is definitely going on my keeper shelf with all her others.

Read this...
Hi Donna H,
I read this, I love her books! The series she did last year on the Buchanan's was so good. Wonder what she has out next? Guess I will find out I get her email updates.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Take care, happy reading,

Me either
I know I haven't read a bad Susan Mallery book yet.
I've got "The Sheik and the Pregnant Bride" in my TBR pile. It's been there for a while because, while I like SM's voice (isn't that what they call it when you like the way a certain person writes?)
, I don't really care for stories about sheiks and deserts. So I keep picking it up and putting it back down. But I will get around to reading it eventually -- and will probably wonder why I waited so long. . .

DonnaH - I read that book so if you check out my monthly
summaries you can follow the link and see if it sounds like something you might enjoy
And if you decide you like Sheikhs after all, you might enjoy Olivia Gates' Desire The Desert Lord's Baby

Cool picture, Sadhbh!
Is that the book you were holding when you had that other picture taken? The one you sent me? Or is that about 10 later. . .
I will check out your report. I actually picked it up this morning and read the end. I liked the way it ended, so I think I'll read it next. (no comments, please -- I know I'm weird)

Oops. . .
My fingers don't always explain my thoughts the way they should. . .
What I meant was, is the book the same one in both pictures? I never even thought of it as being the same one we were discussing here.
And I didn't mean you couldn't comment on your picture, or anything else. I meant you couldn't comment on me being weird. . .
I just got back from the post office with a parcel of books from a friend. Had to rearrange my whole TBR pile.
Before that I went and moved a pile of hardwood flooring. Our dd gave us their left-overs from when they replaced their livingroom floor. I plan on using it in a little shed we have out back that I want to turn into a playhouse for the grandkids. I had to move it while dh was gone. He hurt his back the other week lifting something heavy, and went to the chiropractor yesterday. So I had to get it moved while he's gone today before he thought he needed to move it. I wanted to get it into the shed and under cover so it wouldn't get wet if we get the rain they're forecasting. Our son had brought it here for us, but was in a hurry, so just threw everything off the back of his truck into the yard before we could get home to tell him where we wanted it.
That's the price you pay for "free" help. . .

Glad to hear it's another super read by SM.

'Accidentally' fell in love....
with this one! I thought of writing a review on it and you beat me to it...
Darn!
I enjoy books with both lots of humor and romance, especially on days when I could use a good pick-me-up, if you know what I mean. I agree that this great book had just the right amount of humor mixed with touching poignancy.
