I got this anthology primarily for Lora Leigh’s follow-up story on the August brothers ~ thanks to jillyan77 I knew to look for it!
Then I realized that it had a story by another of my favourite authors, Shiloh Walker. So two stories from an anthology that make it a winner before I even read it ~ works for me!
BOOK READ:
Anthology; The Twelve Quickies of Christmas Volume 1; Ellora’s Cave; TPB Nov 04
SYNOPSIS & Rating:
There are six different stories in this book and two of them that I knew that I was going to love ~ and I did. The other four tales were enjoyable, and one or two was Very Good. I’m just going to put down here the blurbs from inside the book and give the rating at the end. Otherwise I could be writing here on this one for… well, a long time!
Oh, before I go any further, the Sensuality rating for these stories is anywhere from Heat Wave to Inferno… it is, after all, an Ellora’s Cave Erotic Romance publication.
- Ashleigh Raine ~ Angel in Moonlight: An otherworld woman is allowed to spend a year among humans, learning and experiencing emotions. Her first encounter leads her to a man that has an amazing impact on her; but she’s wary of the strength of the need she feels. Recommend ~ 2.5
- Lora Leigh ~ Men of August: August Heat: It’s been just over a year since the August brothers married their women; is there trouble in paradise? And just what is it that the wives want for Christmas? Great / Very Good ~ 3.5
- Shiloh Walker ~ Make Me Believe: Chelly’s life has been turned upside down; not only is she about to lose her son, but the man that she’s dreamed of her whole life seems way too real for her peace of mind. This doesn’t promise to be a Christmas worth being around for. Great / Very Good ~ 3.5
- Kate Douglas ~ Just a Little Magic: Magic is in short supply for Beth Adams this Christmas; not only did she NOT get the proposal she was hoping for, but the sexiest looking man that she’s ever met thinks he’s an elf. Just what is she supposed to think? Very Good ~ 3
- Rachel Bo ~ Ringing in the Season: Traci and Rick have been married for 17 years, but for Traci all that they had seems to be long gone and this Christmas is one that she’ll get through for the kids before she calls it quits. But Rick is a determined man; determined to show Traci that what they had is still there ~ will this be a Christmas to remember or the end of their marriage? Recommend ~ 2.5
- R. Casteel ~ The Toymaker: It’s 1875 on the Missouri frontier and, although Christmas is nearing, Samantha and her two children are in dire straits. That is, until a small toymaker comes by and Samantha gives him shelter. Miracles or magic? Something wonderful is happening. Great / Very Good ~ 3.5

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!
This book...
...was almost impossible to find ~ I had it on order for a couple of months, but no-one had it anywhere ~ not Amazon (.com or .ca) or Chapters / Indigo. Then I happened across a site that had a lot of very HTF EC books available; colour me very happy!

I'm so happy
that you read this Kathy. I wasn't even think about Shiloh's story in here when I suggested it. lol I need to start reading her stuff soon.
I really loved the way LL wrapped up the series. It was quite nice.
I'm soooo glad that you mentioned it...
Jill, and you're right, it wrapped the series up very, very well indeed!
