#218 Mommy for a Minute by Judy Christenberry (HAR #1173)

Lauren's hopes for a career as a lawyer are finally coming true after being on hold while she raised her six siblings after her mother's death. Her boss is afraid she'll burn out so he insists she take a month's leave and she decides to have her spare bedroom converted to an office. But although she's delighted to mind her carpenter's daughter Ally so that he can work in peace, Jack refuses to trust her because she's a lawyer careerwoman. Can she convince him she also has room in her life for a family?
I didn't like Jack so I didn't care whether they got together. He was well-portrayed, I just didn't like him. I felt he was an illogical jerk for most of the book, his parents must have found him under a cabbage because I liked them.
