Jake and Stacey were high-school sweethearts but Stacey got pregnant and Jake felt trapped and then their daughter was stillborn and they went their separate ways. Seventeen years later, Stacey is a divorced mother of toddler twins and Jake is trying to mend family broken bridges. He's still in love with Stacey but grief for their lost daughter and worry for Stacey and the twins mean their reunion is complicated. Will they succeed second time around?
This gave some insight into the Logan's Legacy background. I loved the Jake/John scenes but they would have been easier to follow if their names didn't start with the same initial. I liked the way Jake came round in the end, while I felt Stacey was unreasonable and illogical at times. Enjoyable read
