#233 Stranded With The Tempting Stranger - Brenda Jackson (SD #1825)

Lawyer Brandon goes to the Bahamas to investigate Cassie, his client Parker's unknown half-sister, but instead of digging up dirt on her and persuading her to sell Parker her shares, Brandon falls in love with her. How will she react when she discovers who Brandon really is?
I loved the way Brandon felt guilty about deceiving her and how honest he was when he decided to come clean. I liked the way he stuck around to help her with the hurricane preparations and how he was prepared to commute because his work was more suited to it, and how in later books he planned to open a local office so they could spend even more time together. He stole the book, Cassie didn't really make any impression on me. NFM

I should get a blog up this week-end.  Clients have been giving me headaches.  I've been waiting for one text since NOVEMBER and now the client contacts me to tell me she is almost finished but she needs it for the beginning of May.Surprised However, I already have work to do in this month. Of course, I could blow her off, but that would be almost 1700 € out the window.Yell

Yeah I hear you on the difficult clients

I've been working on a dream (NOT) of a doc since Tuesday all about
thermocouples and vacuum pumps where I have to look up every second word

Fun!
So I hear you on the headaches - next up after the 16th 156 pages in
Excel (yeah, yeah why would you want to translate a spreadsheet, but
it's not a spreadsheet they've just created their doc in Excel Undecided) and they'll want it mid May

The joys of life as a translator Foot in mouth Just as well i have books and eharl to make my headaches go away Laughing I'll be posting more once one of my teammates gets that double oh spot out of my way

Hugs

!! ??

Why did they do that!? I'm a PITA for my clients. I require that all texts be delivered to me in .doc, .rtf or sometimes (rarely) in .ppt. This makes the clients who work in LATEX (a script word processing software) crazy. But, hey! I'm a translator not a PA.Innocent
