Stef Ann Holm has been a favourite and autobuy author since I read her first contemporary book ~ Girls Night ~ a number of years ago. With each book since she’s cemented her place on my fave / autobuy list ~ and I do have one, never doubt it.
BOOK READ:
Stef Ann Holm; All the Right Angles; HQN Romance; Oct 2007
SYNOPSIS:
Francesca (Franci) Moretti is the youngest of four and the only daughter in a very Italian family. She’s an architect but also works in the family construction company, Moretti Construction, doing the paperwork and odds and ends. She’s too busy for a social life, which is true, but she’s also hiding a heart that’s been badly bruised in the past; it’s easier to be alone than it is to risk her heart.
Kyle Jagger heads up the family construction firm Legacy Constructors and has since his father’s death almost a decade before. His firm is based in Seattle, but he’s also got a project in Boise where Moretti Construction is based. Kyle’s a very busy guy; he does date from time to time, but nothing special. It doesn’t help that he’s got projects going in two different states either.
The feelings that both Franci and Kyle have for the other are very strong. It’s not helping matters that their companies were competing for the same major project and that patriarch Giovanni Moretti won the contract for his company.
MY NOTES:
Lots of tension, both sexual and personal, fuels the dilemma that Franci and Kyle find themselves facing. This is very much a character driven story, with a nudge here and there from the story’s progression. I really enjoyed the relationships between each of the members of the Moretti clan ~ there are strong personalities in all three generations.
It’s a smooth paced story; the only problem that I had with it was that I would, at times, be reduced to tears ~ but that’s far more due to personal experiences than any problem with this story. Let’s just say that I found a lot of what occurs in the story to be quite real.

Jeannie
Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!
Same for me...
..Jeannie. Her contemps are some of my favourites ~ and there are a few of her historicals that are re-reads as well, but I prefer her contemporary stories for the most part.
She's a very talented writer.
