#253 The Marine's Baby by Rogenna Brewer (Super #1478)

Lucky and his half-brother Luke have the same first name because their mothers both named them after their father but it hasn't posed a problem until his brother dies in Iraq, leaving his new bride a widow, and she decides to use her husband's sperm to get pregnant, but the lab makes an error and Lucky's the father. So how will they sort out this complicated mess and what will be the implications for the different family members?
This was an intriguing situation, with a great euw potential if not carefully handled. Luckily enough Rogenna handled things perfectly, everything was logically explained and thus even those decisions I might not have agreed with were okay. Lucky's father's attitude and explanations at the end annoyed me, but I'm trying not to think about it.

I really enjoyed this

I really enjoyed this one and thought the wonky family tree was different and interesting. I've read and enjoyed her other books too and she always brings something new into her books.

Hi Deb - yes I know there are some people who think

"brothers? euww!" but this one wasn't like that and besides even the eeuww books can be good in the right author's hands

Glad you enjoyed it

I loved this book.  The

I loved this book.  The storyline was good, and the weird family dynamics made it even more interesting.  The fact that it starred a Marine didn't hurt anything either Innocent

RE: THE MARINE'S BABY by Rogenna Brewer

Sadhbh ~~ I read this one a couple month's ago and really dug it!  You, of all folks, should know how this Bloke goes for stories that feature Babies and Marines.  LOL.  While doing my usual "investigation" of the book (I do this for every book I read), I had my doubts, as it seemed as the story line could get a little "out there."  I mean, after all, this was a Super Romance, not a Sci-Fi!  However, the story was done very well, and Lucky was a "real" Mate that always did the right thing by Cait.
