#259 Not a Marrying Man by Dixie Browning (SD #678)

Mac Ford is in a hotel relaxing and planning his retirement from the US Marshals when a girl is left at reception, supposedly his half-brother's daughter, with a note. He assumes she's his widowed half-sister-in-law's child and tries to return her, but when he gets there, Banner is not the child's mother. They get stranded on an island with no food and a little girl who won't/can't talk. Mac doesn't think he's a marrying man but he can't picture a future without this woman and this little girl.
Intense romance and search for a little girl's mother, with a relatively predictable reason for her silence. Nice romance
