Lauren is trying to cope with a nasty breakup that majorly bruised her heart and her perception of herself and so she goes to an island to spend some time sorting her heart out, but her friend Lisette cancels at the last minute and Lauren goes alone. Lisette tells her there's a caretaker named Josh and his friend Marcus but that they're gay. In fact Josh is not gay, and he's a sub, which would be perfect as Lauren is a Dom, except that they've both been wounded by their last lovers. With Marcus to make sure they don't cross any negative lines, can they possibly heal each other?
I wanted to read this because of Josh's cameo in Mirror of My Soul and of course now it has me wanting to read Marcus's story. I enjoyed this but for some reason my immediate reaction isn't stronger than a "pretty good" but I can't pinpoint any particular issue that bugged me. The usual combustible D/s, threesome, restraints etc that might bother some people, so be aware.
