#28 Private Agenda by Natalie Dunbar, Bombshell #15, 2004

New Author for me.This is not the bookcover on my book but wanted a pic. Agent Reese Whittaker is going back to work after experiencing a year of hell. She married her partner, Nick, and got pregnant. He was sent on an assignment and was captured by rebels and was not there when she needed him. She had pre-eclampsia and her baby was stillborn, so she decided to cut her losses and sent Nick divorce papers. Lastly her brother, Riley, who was her world, was a consultant at the Rwanda embassy providing his antiterrorism and security expertise when it was bombed two days ago. His body had not been found yet so Reese still held out hope that he might be alive.

Her boss sends her on a mission to recover security codes for a Key satellite that were stolen and the designer killed. She is to go into Montana to facility that trains
people in the use of weapons and hires them out. While there she finds she is to be used by him on a mission to procure a special biological warfare weapon and the scientist who was developing the cure. This same man was implicated in the Rwandan bombing. She needs to stay focused on the mission and not how much she wants to kill this man who is responsible for so many deaths. Reese needs to find the codes and make sure the leader does not get the real biological virus. She has several enemies on the team and one man who really seems like a good guy but she cannot trust anyone but herself after her assigned partner is caught and flees.

It’s a great Bombshell (may it rest in peace). She is a strong,
independent heroine and learns to deal with each issue as it comes up.
