Clay's half-sister needs a second kidney transplant but he's not a suitable donor. She has another half-brother and -sister who haven't been tested because of their father's acrimonious break-up with his first wife. So he contrives to meet Jenna without telling her who he is. But then they fall in love and when Jenna finds out, she's hurt and depressed because she can't have a love affair with "the other woman's son". She gets tested even though her family is furious with Clay. What does the future hold?
I understood Clay's dilemma and didn't see how else he could have handled things. I couldn't understand why Jeff was quite so negative, had no patience with either of the mothers. Mike was the best character in the book (IMO).
