#291 Someone To Watch Over Me by Teresa Hill (Steeple Hill)

Jax doesn't understand why his mother left everything to him in her will and Gwen, neighbour and victim of a mugging doesn't understand why Jaw is the only person who makes her feel safe, even though she has no intention of sleeping with the guy every woman loves. But he needs a friend and is having trouble sorting out his mother's house so she helps him, despite his sisters' disapproval. Will Jax finally realise why his mother acted as she did and discover what's important in life?
The religion in this book worked well for me, it was logical and right in the context. I liked the way Gwen saw no reason to change her principles for Jax but didn't criticize him for living his own life by his own principles. I found the sisters incredibly hypocritical given how they didn't like Jax interfering in their lives and books.
