#294 A Chance Worth Taking by Carrie Weaver (Harlequin NASCAR)

Sam wants to hire Michael straight out of highschool to drive cars but Michael's mother Tess would prefer Michael to go to Stanford on his scholarship than to drop out to be a NASCAR driver. So Sam offers to let her tag along and supervise for six months. As Tess learns to let go, Michael gets jealous of Tess and Sam's budding romance, but then he has his first accident and gets cold feet. Will he choose Stanford or Nascar and what will his choice mean for Sam and Tess?
Ron and his attitude really grated. It seemed like there was a big build-up to something that then just fizzled out. Amused by Michael and his so typically teenage attitude. Liked Sam, he was a lot more patient with Tess than I might have expected.

I think...

I have bought every single one of these NASCAR books that has come out but I haven't read but maybe 1 or 2.  *sigh* I need to make time to catch up on those and my Nocturnes.

Well Debi why not make May your "N" month

Nascar and Nocturne Wink

I
obviously have an advantage over many of you in that when I decide to
concentrate on one author/imprint for a week, I can get quite a few
read (given that on a bad week I still get ten books read, and on a
good week it can be as many as twenty five or thirty Embarassed) Innocent

and I know you have books to review which doesn't help, but still you can dream Smile

Actually....

during Spring Break, I was reading 3-4 books a day so I made quite a bit of progress on some of my backlog!  I have summer vacation coming up so maybe I'll plan it for June since then I can still get review books done while making a real dent.  Right now, I'm catching up on the Athena Force books since I was behind a few months on those.....
