#298 Texan for the Holidays by Victoria Chancellor (HAR #1190)

Scarlett doesn't want to meet her family's expectations so she leaves Atlanta for California and a career as hair stylist to the stars, but her car breaks down in a small town in Texas where the local hair salon owner kindly offers her a place to stay and a job while the car's being fixed. Attorney James has been to the city but decided he preferred home and he'd like to persuade Scarlett to forget California and settle in Texas but how can he get a marriage licence when he doesn't know the bride's name?
The romance was amusing and I liked the small town atmosphere but the whole big deal about the names was anticlimactical as the name didn't mean much to me apart from making me feel sorry for Scarlett that her parents didn't understand her and sorry that she grew up under the weight of such heavy expectations.
