#309 311 Pelican Court- Debbie Macomber (Mira)

Zach and Rosie got divorced but Olivia decreed that they shouldn't uproot the children but should be the ones to move back and forth sharing custody, so how will the divorce work out with two unhappy kids and parents under time and monetary pressure? Grace and Cliff are spending time together but she's also spending a lot of time online chatting to Olivia's married brother. Olivia has two beaus, Jack and her ex-husband Stan, and Maryellen has regrets about shutting Jon out of her life now that she has a baby, life seems more complicated than she expected.
A lot of people raved about this series, which is why I bought them, but this particular book had just too many people all being stupid concurrently and I found it really difficult to get through. I know there has to be conflict and character arcs and all that, but you can have too much of a good thing! Zach and Rosie really annoyed me because they had to go through an expensive divorce and year apart to realise that they should have been communicating better – I mean DUH! This is one of the reasons I found this so hard going. Divorce is supposed to be a last resort, I think Olivia should have fined them for wasting time and money
