Roy and Corrie try to decipher the mystery of the postcards and messages, their daughter Linette moves to work in the new clinic and falls in love with Cal, but is she the right woman for him? Allison's got a boyfriend who's in a lot of trouble, Olivia and Jack are adjusting to married life, he's too big a slob and unhealthy eater and she's too fanatic about everything being neat and tidy. Maryellen is pregnant again, Justine and Seth are happy but busy, and Rachel still loves Nate but not his mother.
I definitely wouldn't advise starting the series in the middle, you'd be too lost. This is definitely one series worth starting at the beginning and going on from there.
(I'm a little amused that if I'd planned my reading and blogging a little differently I could have been posting #311 as 311 Pelican Court, but I thought that would be just too cute for words
