Brett thinks his mother died in an explosion so when he recognizes a maid in a hotel where his best friend's father has taken them for dinner, he's delighted and is impatient to tell his father, the cop. Grady doesn't know whether to believe Brett but maid Martha has lost her memory and does look like Susan his dead wife. Martha/Susan knows instinctively she can trust Grady but living with strangers who expect you to love them is more difficult than she expected. She knows she can't be Grady's wife for real until she gets her memory back, but what if that never happens?
Susan's dilemma was very well done and I liked how RW handled her recognition that Grady wanted his old wife, not the new Susan. I also liked how understanding Susan was of Grady's reactions every time she remembered something that had nothing to do with him.
