#41 Without a Trace - Nora Roberts

Trace wants to retire from the ISS because he's burnt out but Gillian needs him to unkidnap her brother and his daughter, blackmailed by terrorists because he's about to perfect a serum which protects against nuclear fallout. Trace falls in love but can he reconcile the bad history with his father and move on?
Interesting arguments on good guys, bad guys, and how to tell the difference and weapons of mass destruction and govts attitudes to passive weapons

Hmmm

Doesn't say if you like it. I don't know if I got this one or not but it sounds interesting,

 Jeannie

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

Jeannie, if you look in her "tags"

she put "pretty good".  So I guess that's where she's doing her ratings (both sensuality="sensual" in this case and "quality=pretty good").

Sadhbh,

This particular review was actually working in the preview window this morning.  If you had ended at "move on?" I would have seen the whole review -- if you are indeed trying to get to shorter reviews this year -- and I think it would have been a perfectly fine stopping place.  I did like your comments in the last two lines, too, but FYI the review felt, IMHO, "complete enough" ending at the "move on?"  And then you can use "NFM" LOL (I just replied to your comment in the "How to Add a Book Review . . ." thread in the "Book Challenge" forum).

Penn, hoping this post now makes sense b/c the first pass-through, whew, did NOT

Yes I enjoyed it

there was action and Gillian was almost Bombshell material, but what
fascinated me were the arguments I mentioned, which is (obviously) why
I mentioned them

I think I was expecting them to be either more veiled, or less

It felt very propaganda-ish, and I don't read category romance for the propaganda

I'll
be interested to see whether other readers agree with me, because I'm
in a depressed moodframe at the moment and I don't know how much of
that is affecting my reading, or whether it's the reading that's
affecting the moodframe

Sorry Penni - when the reviews are short enough I'll be sure to put NFM Innocent
