Rating:  Very Good - 4 stars

This is the first book I've read from the Spice line and though I'm not fussy on westerns it was quite enjoyable.  I've read a few of Sarah McCarty's books published by Ellora's Cave and have found her to be quite an imaginative author.  I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the Hell's Eight series.
