I had actually started to read this book before I figured that I should check my Bravo books that I had with their place in the series. That's when I realized that I had a number of books that came first ~ and far be it for me to not start as close to the beginning as I can... well, when I've got the books anyways! This is Starr's story and both Starr and Beau played fairly big parts in Zach's story... the third of the three original stories. Glad to finally get to it!
In the slot for 'book read' I put that this is either the 14th or 15th book in the series. The reason that I'm not sure of which it is is because the story after The Bravo Billionaire, was an eHarlequin online read; of which I can, alas, find no trace.
So that leaves me either counting it as the ninth or disregarding it entirely. Ah well... maybe if I make enough noise, someone'll take pity on me? *grin*
RATING:
Excellent to Outstanding ~ 4.5 stars
Sensual
BOOK READ:
Christine Rimmer; Fifty Ways to Say I'm Pregnant; SSE #1615; Jun04
14th (or 15th?) in the Bravo Family series
FROM the BACK:
Starr Bravo is finished with college and, before beginning her career in New York, is home at the Rising Sun Ranch for the summer. Six years earlier she had fallen hard and fast for one of her father's hands, Beau Tisdale. But there was a lot going on in his life at that time, and very little of it good. The fact that Beau was 21 and Starr only 16 didn't help matters at all and soon after Beau's troubles all came to a head. Trying to protect her Beau ridiculed the relationship that she wanted with him; for a long time now, the hurt that Starr felt affected her feelings for him ~ just as he had hoped. But now she's home for the summer and is an adult; his feelings for her haven't waned and, it now seems as though she no longer hates him. With the feelings stronger than ever, Starr and Beau decide that this will be their summer out of time.
All's well with their plans... until Starr realizes that somehow, she's going to have to find a way just how to tell Beau that he's going to be a daddy. Just how many ways are there to say that you're pregnant anyways?
MY NOTES:
Oh boy, did I ever love this story! Especially since I had read Zach's story just a few days ago and the troubled relationship between Starr and Beau was still fresh in my mindl Reading these stories close together made this one, IMHO, even more special. There was a lot of emotion and a lifetime of hurts that both Starr and Beau had to overcome; but for six long years, underlying everything else, the feelings that they had for each other were still very present. Both were very much there for the other and the incident that separated them in this book was well set up and handled.
I really felt there was so much realness to what was happening, and it made this a story that is very high on my list of favourites!
