Okay, so this is fun. I was trying to figure out which ones worked for you and which didn't based on the way you described the story.
I loved hearing the nutshell version of the Spice Briefs plots. I've only read one, "No Apologies", by Tracy Wolff, which is coming out next week. A couple of your descriptions there had me wondering how they put so much plot in such a little space!
