#6: A Highlander for Christmas, Sandy Blair, October 2007, Zebra

Score: 4

Claire MacGregor is a kind girl.  She has a struggling antique shop in Boston, has befriended an 88 year old Scottish man, Tavish, has an elderly female renter over her shop whom she keeps a friendly eye on, and Clair herself lives on the third floor.  Then there is the night that she gets a beautiful but mysterious box.  Working in antiques, it isn't long before she figures out the trick to opening the box.. and releases Cameron MacLeod, naked, from the spell that ensnared him back in 1745.  Thus ensues a delightful romp where Cameron tries to understand the world into which he has appeared, AND tries to get back home, and Claire who really REALLY wants to send him there!

I really liked Cameron.  He is a gentleman with a gentle heart and takes his male role as protector and provider very seriously.. which gets him into some real tangles.  But he is consistantly honest, caring of others, fascinated by this new age and willing to learn.  Having said all this, he is a man's man as well.

I was going to read this over the holidays, but there were so many other books that got in the way... and it's still sitting there amongst all my other TBR's..... But I will get to it... eventually.
