Rafe almost got killed for his night with Cathy, but her stepfather paid him off and never told him she was pregnant. Now she's about to marry another man but Rafe has just found out he's a father. Can he persuade Cathy to change bridegrooms? What will her stepfather do to stop Rafe this time?
This book pushed all my wrong buttons from the start, from the bratty six year old to the witchcraft to the stepfather's interference to the wishy washy heroine. I found it really difficult to get through (which, considering it takes me less than an hour to read a Desire, is saying a lot). The ending did not redeem all the aggravation but hopefully someone else might actually enjoy it
