The Accidental Family is book 6 in the “Cooper’s Corner” series. I’m currently reading the first book in the series and I have already read 2, 4 and 5. They are coming with one of the book clubs I’m purchasing, but they don’t come in any particular order and I’ve received 3 of number 5 and 2 of number 2. I enjoy these series that have a common “back story,” but various authors flesh out their assigned couple. There is a common thread that runs through all the stories, but each book/protagonists have their own “voices.” The Accidental Family tells of Rowena’s desire to have a child and her experience in trying to achieve her dream. Rowena is one of those women that seem to have it all, but in scratching the surface, she has her share of struggles. Alan, yum, is the guy many women would like to have putting his shoes under her bed. However, like Rowena, he has his ghosts that need to be laid to rest. This is a book that I found hard to put down and I just loved both Rowena and Alan.
