I loved this book. Who can't identify with a Mom trying to save her son from certain death? Kerri's funny, sympathetic and spunky in the best possible sense. Nathan King comes across as an arrogant jerk with too much money until the reader gets to know him and realize there's much more to him than the obvious. Blackmailed into doing the right thing by Kerri he ultimately has to come to grips with the demons in his past while realizing he loves Kerri. Needless to say she's discovering the same thing while a cure is being found for her adorable son. OK, maybe a little predictable but when you read it it works and who really wants a kid to die anyway. I will definitely be looking for more books by Susan Mallery and looking at her web site it looks like I'll have lots to choose from. Not only is she talented but she's incredibly prolific too.

Susan Mallery
I love Susan Mallery and I think I've read everything she's written except this one. It's still on the TBR shelves. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
"It is to the credit of human nature that, except where its selfishness is brought into play, it loves more readily than it hates."
Nathaniel Hawthorne – The Scarlet Letter
Oh yes...
I loved this one, too.
