I've read and enjoyed many of Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick novels and wanted to read one under her third pen name of Jayne Castle. It was a very good read and not too difficult to follow with the paranormal references.
Lydia Smith, licensed para-archaelogist, works in a low budget museum after her "lost weekend" results in being discharged from her position with the university. She is eager to take on private consulting work and Emmett London is her first client. He hires her to find an antique chest and in the process they encounter ghosts, murderers, and more.
