All The Pretty Girls

I finished this book on the weekend....I actually stayed up later than I intended to, because I was thisclose to finishing, and just couldn't stop where I was.

I found this an enjoyable read - fast-paced, well written, not too predictable. I would say that it did follow the modern thriller genre's standard conventions.....strong female heroine in typical 'male' role (in this case,Police detective), in a relationship with someone else in 'the biz' (FBI profiler), crazy maniac, lots of clues to the killer etc, etc. However, the pacing was nice and quick, so I didn't get bogged down in that.

I feel like the author had more story to tell....without giving too much away, there are a couple of secondary storylines I would have loved to have seen explored further. There were interesting characters that I needed to know more about (i.e. Grimes).

Overall - I would definitely pick up the next J.T. Ellison book....any writer that can keep my up past my bedtime is someone I'll read again!

past bedtime

a lot of the books I read seem to keep me up past my bedtime cause I just "gotta know what happens next"Smile
