Lisa Jackson had me hooked with this sequel - Almost Dead, although I didn't read the first one. I love the beginning where someone who everyone thinks is in a coma is aware, but can't communicate. Immediately the suspense starts and it doesn't stop with murders, suspicion, and a strong underlying romance. Loved it.

I agree. I was able to predict a couple things, but the ending caught me by surprise. And that's what I love from a suspense story.
