April 15th vs. May 1st

I'm taking a "few" minutes out of a stressful week to contemplate a DEEP question.  How does April 15th compare to May 1st.

Well, in America April 15th is tax time!  You had better have those 1040's filled out and filed!  If you owe, you better have included a check!  If you don't, the government COULD garnish your wages, freeze your assets, spend countless hours monitoring your every move, and plain drive ya batty.

In the life of a teacher, it seems that May 1st is a similar day.  Everything that you've been tracking all year is due on May 1st.  Curriculum is due, Career/Step Ladder documentation is due, summer school curriculum is due, tutoring logs are due, final projects for family night are due, grades are due, F lists are due to the office, scheduling requests for next year are due, supply requisitions are due....the list just keeps growing!!!!!

And I, in all my FREE time, have to wonder, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE OTHER 364 DAYS????  WHY DOES EVERYTHING COME DUE THE SAME DAY!!!!  DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS DOES TO PROCRASTINATORS?????

Thank you all for letting me vent!  You're all so wonderful that way!
