As the only expelled student from Athena Academy, Shannon Connor has always tried to prove her worth especially as a news reporter for a TV station. For years now she has gotten calls with great tips for news that put Athena grads in a seemingly negative light. Now she has her life in danger and her source seems to mysteriously help her but she must go to China.
Rafe Santorini has been sent by Allison Gracelyn to follow Shannon. He is still recovering from a knee injury and is glad Allison had given him something to do to prove he still had it.
I really didn't want to read Shannon's story but I'm glad I did. It gave insight into who Shannon was.

I liked her. Well, I didn't like what she did as a young student but I really liked her by the end. I liked how the author gave me insight into her. I am going to have to go back and read the Athena Bombshells when I get time. SHe would not have been my freind in high school, but I would enjoy talking to her at a reunion.
