Athena Force - Proof by Justine Davis

I have always been a BIG fan of the Bombshell Series, and was one of the many to be extremely saddened when the series was discontinued.  I thankfully got to the second set of Athena books when I subscribed to the series.  I'm currently gathering my hoard of the third set of Athena and holding them all until I can read each back to back without stopping.  When I got my Kindle, I couldn't have been happier that the Athena Bundles of the original set was available.  So expect the whole original series in my blog this year.

The title 'Proof' completely describes this book.  Alex gets a call from her friend Rainey, the kind of call that none of the Cassandras hope to but would answer to in a heartbeat.  The Cassandra promise is invoked.  Unfortunately, that would be the last communication Rainey would ever have with anyone because she died shortly after that same day.  Alex doesn't think it is just a coincidence or an accident and she goes in search for the proof to back up her theories.  Unfortunately for Alex though, some of the evidence she is finding hits close to home because these things could have happened to her too.  Her past begins creeping up on her and it can no longer be hidden, she has to face it and be the person she was meant to be, not the person other people see her as.

I don't think I could ever be let down by a Bombshell book.  As much as I love reading erotica, it is nice to read a very good story with a smidgen of romance but no sex.  You get a more in depth look at the characters as I did in this book.  For being the first in a series, there was a lot of ground to cover for the others to follow, but I never felt bombarded with all of the information.  I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.
