Header PromotionThinking about LU and especially after LEn, what will V do about needing to feed? Will the Chosen continue to feed Rhage (and V?) or will they have to make other arrangements.
Can't wait to see what "solution" Warden will use for the next human in a human/vampire couple. So far we had a pre-trans/Brother pairing, then Rhage and Mary, then an "ordinary" vampire/Brother pairing (but with the complication of two Brothers loving the same woman) then another two human/vampire complications. Now Mary and Jane would agree that their solutions were rather extreme, and Butch's solution only applies to humans with a vampire parent, which is obviously not the norm either. Phury didn't fall in love with a human, so L En didn't cover that problem. John Michael and his feelings for Xhex look entertaining. Blay's romance will be intriguing and eye-opening, and Qhuinn seems to be into multiple partners, so that might be interesting from a bonding pov.
Also thinking about promises and parental responsibility when I read LU, the SV refused to interfere in V's upbringing because she'd promised his father not to, but if we're talking promises and integrity, does/should the "unspoken" promise of protection to a child one carries around for nine months inside one not supercede any promise between adults Where's the integrity in breaking the promise to a child? Do you think V is finished working through his anger at the SV after the end of LU? Will they be able to respect each other as adults in subsequent books?
Does V know about Payne? What do you think his reaction will be? Do you think Payne will resent V because he has "lived" while she was in stasis? How do you think she'll react to the modern world (given that she was presumably placed in stasis for quite a while)?
Real treasures in store while we wait impatiently for the gaps the Compendium will presumably fill in and for Rhev's story in January

Not sure when I'll be able to get my hands on the Compendium but I'm already impatient
and even more impatient for January and Rhev's story (although I was never that interested in him as such) because of the little twist at the end of L En
none of the SLATB seems to be around or just not interested in chatting with me
I'll just have to fall back on the Brothers

I was so iffy about reading them at first. The names threw me off a bit, but once I got used to them, man...HOOKED. :-)
Who's your favorite brother? I loved V for the longest time, but I was SO not thrilled with his story. I loved it...right until the very end. <sigh> I think Z is my favorite.

And Jodie, if Sadhbh hasn't filled you in about the SLATB it's our group ~ we who are the Sisters Lusting After The Brothers....
(although to be honest they all turn my crank in some way... Alpha males that turn into jelly when their soul mates show up ~ YUM)
We actually got set up after a number of us read Butch's story during last year's challenge... and Certainly! You are, ipso facto, a member of the SLATB if you love Brothers ~ or even just one of them. Of course some of us are rather rabid about our Brothers... *sigh* Rhage....
And Sadhbh, as to what I'm hoping to see in the Compendium ~ which I pre-ordered along with a couple of other books I can hardly wait to get my hands on... ~ I love the points that you raised. And I never thought about what V thinks, or will think, of Payne. That should be extremely interesting to say the least.
And I am dying to learn more about Blay now that he's a warrior; I'm curious to see if JR's going to have a romance for him.
Definitely impatient for the book to arrive at my door!

Actually I love them all, but Wrath was my first... vampire <sigh> and he's the one who got me craving to have one of my own (and I'm still waiting...)
Sadhbh - I miss our SLATB threads - they just seemed easier to find and participate in last years format. Remember the party we were going to have at KathyD's? That thread got pretty raunchy - especially when we started talking about chains and locked rooms...

I love the Brothers too. It is really hard to choose a favorite but I think it is Z's book for me. I loved the end. That was so satisfying. I also wondered what V will think about Payne. I also wonder how long she has been in her situation. I am very curious about Rhev's book. That will be very interesting. And I am still not happy about Jane. Will the compendium be in paperback?
