Last year, someone in the challenge raved about this book so I found a copy from an online source. Picked it up, didn't get into it, put it down. Picked it up again a couple of days ago, thought about just putting it in the giveaway pile without giving it another chance and I am glad that I didn't (put it in the giveaway pile unread). I guess that's a statement on how mood can affect enjoyment.
Fifteen years ago, Isabella Spencer and her dad took Michael Wulf in (Bella was 13, Michael 16) and Michael has never forgotten. He's become an uber-millionaire thanks to his computer programming and inventions and while you'd think he'd live somewhere else, he's moved back to the small town that Bella is from. He rescues the "now-widowed and moving back to her hometown" Bella from her broken down car in a blizzard. While they are stuck in his home for several days, her baby comes a month early. And the crush that she had on Michael 15 years ago starts to become something more, b/c this anti-social loner has a soft spot for her and her daughter.
A good read about a woman with a lot of love and love of life bringing the rejected boy -- now man (and of course, a hunk to add to the millionair bit) -- to life. She also brings him into the community that he has avoided and finds that the people there do want to make him feel welcome and to see him and Bella happy and a family. Nice pulls on the heart-strings.

I don't remember
hmm I don't remember reviewing this one last year, I think someone was looking for the name of this book and a few joined the discussion there.
heehee my keeper shelf is right beside the computer desk and this book is right there, pretty much front and center. Didn't even have to search for it, eyes just landed on it.

This one sounds good
I may have read some of Laura Wright's books last year but this title doesn't ring a bell

How can you remember every book you read last year. It I didn't have a list of the books I read last year I probably wouldn't remember
And trying to remember who raved about a certain book, well that's a lost cause

Christa - it's easy to remember books because I enjoy reading
them
I don't have an eidectic memory, but I remember if I've done a similar document before (up to five years earlier), which is handy when the same types of documents come round again
(I work in translation)
