Baby on the Billionaire's Doorstep
by Emily McKay
Jet-setting bachelor Dex Messina thought he knew everything about women...until he met the tiny infant girl abandoned on his doorstep. One thing Dex was sure of: the gorgeous redhead who stormed back into his life, insisting she'd made a mistake, was hiding something. And uncovering her secret would be his pleasure.
To gain custody of her beloved niece, Lucy Alwin would do anything—even pose as the woman with whom Dex had shared one intimate night. But if boldly lying to the powerful billionaire was difficult, resisting their burning desire could prove impossible.
Rae's Thoughts:
I could not put this book down and when I had too, I wasn't too happy. Lucy was totally my kind of heroine. She was mousy, but put in the situation she was, she found the courage to fight for Isabella, her neice. She was an every day woman who knew what she wanted and she was willing to do anything for the five month old baby--even lie. But you couldn't hate her for the lies she told, you admire her more for it. Dex is a playboy and while I wanted to dislike him, I found myself falling for him just as quickly as Lucy did. He's charming and charasmatic, but I too saw through his facade. This book made me giggle, it made me sigh, it made me want to reach through the pages of the book and grab Dex by the scruff of his collar and it made me cry in more than a few places. I adored this book, I highly reccommend it and I cannot believe I have to wait until October to see what is going on with the Messina's.

Rae, I read this two nights ago. Hope to have my review up soon. In the meantime stopping in to say I enjoyed it very much. I thought the exploration of the maternal and paternal instinct was really lovely - a fresh twist on the theme.
