Baby, I’m Yours
by Karen Templeton
Kevin Vaccaro just found out he was a father…of a five-month-old! He’d put up a hell of a fight to overcome his troubled past. That was nothing compared to the battle he was about to wage for his child’s future.
Julianne McCabe had no intention of giving up her sister’s child—the child she loved as her own—without a fight. Yet that was before Kevin started bonding with his daughter. Before he awoke feelings that made the grieving widow long to share more than late-night feedings. But was she ready to risk her heart again to be the wife Kevin needed? To become the family they both wanted?
I’ve read all three of these books in the ‘Guys and Daughters’ series and this one was by far my favorite. I admit that I wondered how Karen was going to pull this off, because Kevin is a recovering addict. I should’ve known better than to even question it because this is Karen Templeton. She’s always been on my to-buy list, but she’s also one of these authors who just keeps getting better and better. I’m not good at writing reviews, because I hate to give a whole lot away…as a reader, I want to be surprised when I turn the pages and this book is full of them. I will warn you however, because you will need tissues and make up remover. I read this entire book in the car and well…when I started sobbing, yes, sobbing, the entire family looked at me like I was ready to be committed and when we finally got to a rest stop, I realized why the older woman seemed frightened by me as she was leaving the building. I had raccoon eyes. Of course using the anti-bacterial soap and recycled, rough paper towels to get it all off was fun.
I can guarantee that you will love this trilogy from start to finish and as a heads up, Karen has another series coming up, starting in August. I can’t wait!
